ETC_LOGO_GOOD_main_logoEnglish Teaching College is able to provide a range of English courses from beginner to academic.  If you want to learn English, especially in Wellington, Lower Hutt or Palmerston North, you’ve chosen the right place.  ETC academic English programme is an ideal pathway for international students to university and polytechnics throughout New Zealand and overseas. ETC is one of a few language schools in New Zealand to receive government support to provide free English classes for migrants.

Your child can start forming those crucial relationships and networks prior to progressing to one of New Zealand’s foremost learning institutions located in the same city – Massey University.

 

We can send middle-school-age students (up to about 12) to Huntly School. Huntly is New Zealand’s oldest and largest preparatory boarding school and has hosted international students since 1990, so it knows how to look after your child’s academic and pastoral needs. Homestay hosts can also be arranged during weekend leave and holidays.

Located at the top end of Wellington Harbour (20 minutes from the capital), and with around 100,000 people, Lower Hutt has all the regular services and conveniences, such as malls, restaurants and shopping districts. It’s a quiet and level city – fantastic for running, cycling and transport in general. Hutt Valley High School places students with friendly families who are close to the school and offers regular activities and events for students. It has a strong ESOL department to help international students.

 

Massey University has been developing the minds of Kiwis and people from around the world for over 80 years. Located primarily in Palmerston North, Massey is known for its international learning, its close links to the community, and the applied nature of many of its innovative programmes.

Situated in Palmerston North, Whanganui, Wairarapa and Levin, UCOL prides itself on its community connections, which can possibly help you as a student there to gain work experience whilst studying towards your diploma, degree or postgraduate qualification. UCOL specialises in Trades, Applied Engineering, Health and Sciences, and Humanities and Business.

For our younger male clients who want to experience the political and cultural heart of this wonderful country, we can send high-school-age students to Wellington College to complete their education as international students. Wellington College dates back to 1867 and has over 1800 students, where the emphasis is on developing talents and a passion for life-long learning.

Located close to the NZ Parliament Buildings in the centre of New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington Girls’ College develops young women into confident independent thinkers who are ready to take on the challenges of the world with a life-long passion for learning. With consistently among the top results for state high schools in NZ, WGC caters to around 60 international students each year.

The Wellington Institute of Technology – WelTec – offers industry qualifications which include degrees, trades and postgraduate programmes. Located around the Wellington region, including in the CBD, Lower Hutt, and Porirua, WelTec prides itself on developing your practical skills to you can find work.

 Established in Porirua, Wellington, Whitireia provides over 135 programmes to over 6,000 students throughout the Wellington region and Auckland. Students can study towards applied certificates, diplomas, degrees and even masters degrees – all of which are developed in consultation with industry.
